A History Of Building Relationships
Horizon Financial Advisors is an independently owned and operated corporation located in Monroeville, Pennsylvania. The firm was co-founded in 1990 by Laura J. Abbott DeCarolis, the owner and President, and by George P. Hebert, who is now retired. Today, the firm's advisors are Laura and Garret A. Rigatti, who joined the team in January 2023.
The team at Horizon Financial Advisors serves clients across the U.S. We understand the importance of offering a wide range of investment products in order to satisfy the diverse needs of our client base. In doing so, we make it a priority to always act in our clients' best interest and make sure they feel confident with the recommendations we make and service we provide.
While we provide the benefits of a large firm, we emphasize small-firm, personal attention. We pride ourselves on being responsive, responsible, and thorough. When you call our office, you speak directly with us. You can be sure your questions and requests are handled promptly by competent professionals and a knowledgeable staff. We believe that our excellent service has resulted in the fact that many of our clients, along with their friends and family, have been with us since our inception.

Laura J. Abbott DeCarolis, Owner and President of Horizon Financial Advisors, is a Certified Financial Planner™ and holds a FINRA Series 7 General Securities registration, Series 65 Uniform Investment Adviser registration, and the Pennsylvania Life and Accident and Health insurance licenses. She attended Clarion University then Robert Morris University from which she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing with a minor in Finance. She has been employed in the Financial Services industry since 1986, when she began her career as a Financial Consultant for Merrill Lynch Pierce Fenner & Smith. She left Merrill Lynch to work for Horizon Financial Savings & Loan as an Annuity Service Representative. Laura ultimately left the bank in 1990 to establish Horizon Financial Advisors with George P. Hebert, who is now retired. She currently resides in Plum where she has been a resident nearly her entire life.
Garret A. Rigatti joined the firm in January 2023. He holds a FINRA Series 6 General Securities registration, a Series 65 Uniform Investment Adviser registration, and the Pennsylvania Life and Accident and Health Insurance Licenses. He currently resides in Murrysville with his wife and son.

You will see their name on some of the account statements you receive for investments serviced by our advisors. The Trustmont Group consists of Trustmont Financial Group, a broker-dealer firm, and Trustmont Advisory Group, a Registered Investment Advisor firm, both located in Greensburg, PA. As a broker-dealer or investment advisory firm, Trustmont performs supervisory and compliance services to us as registered representatives and investment advisers. Because Trustmont works with advisors all over the U.S., being a part of their group gives us the opportunity to network with other advisors in order to share ideas and keep abreast of industry trends.
