Developing a financial plan involves analyzing all the areas of financial planning such as the existing investments, cash flow, tax returns, insurance coverage, retirement planning, estate planning, accumulation goals, educational funding, employee benefits and any other financial matters. The plan is developed to show your current situation, factor in your goals, objectives and concerns, then to provide recommendations as to how to reach those goals.
